Friends of the School

Welcome to the Friends of the School (FOSPA)

FOSPA is a group of members made up of parents and staff from St Patrick’s school. We are committed to supporting the school and the children in any way we can. We aim to help at school events and fund raise for additional items that will benefit our pupils.

We have held many successful events such as sponsored nature walks. These walks were a great success and the participants really enjoyed the quizzes which they could complete as they walked. The food to purchase at the end was also a big hit!

We have also held fundraising evenings in the school hall where the participants competed in Bingo, perused stalls to purchase many types of products and enjoyed food such as pie and peas.

On a more regular basis we support many school events, such as the Christmas performances and Sports day, by providing a wide range of refreshments. We also fund raise weekly by selling products after school on a Friday. These range from ice creams in the summer months to hot chocolate and biscuits in the winter months.

Recently, the money we have raised has contributed to the Year 6 leavers trip to London, the purchase of school hoodies and the acquiring of two beautiful brass candlesticks for the newly created school chapel.

We will continue to support the school and pupils of St Patrick’s and will meet regularly in the next school year to discuss how we can do this.

The constitution was adopted by the members of the Association in an Annual General Meeting held on the 12th March 2017.
